Prizes:

1st through 5th place
Top two team play awards
Several other "special category" awards

Format:
4 tables 32 active players. Non-playing players will act as moderators when not flying.

1 early war table (free-4-all missions)
1 mid-war table (free-4-all missions)
1 late war table (free-4-all missions)
1 team play table (late war) (cooperative missions)

Each pilot will fly 4-5 missions. Four "free-4-all" (1 early, 1 mid, 2 late) and 1 team play mission. All tables will progress at the same pace via calls from the master controller.  Each pilot will fly the same number and type of missions.

Plots times will be a maximum of 1 minute 45 seconds. (105 seconds)
Missions are strictly limited to 12 turns.
Pilot seed is randomly assigned at the start of the tournament.
Planes will be assigned based on availability and by pilot seed #.
Pilots are encouraged to bring their own planes.

Victory:
Victory will be determined by using the following scoring system.  The pilot earning the highest point total compiled from all missions will be the national champion.  The top 5 pilots will be officially honored and awarded prizes.  All planes are assigned a combat value.  In the event of a tie, the pilot who has the lower combat value average for planes flown, will be considered the victor.  The aircraft combat values chart may be viewed here.

Point Awards:

Action

#

Aerial Victory +5
Losing a roll-off for credit of a contested kill (assist) +2
Each 8 damage points inflicted * +1
Surviving Mission

+1

Being shot down -3

*Unlike convention scoring, the total damage inflicted from all missions flown will be compiled and then divided by 8.

Special Rules are:

The standard version 1.1 rules concerning maneuvers at certain altitudes are not being used.
For simplicity, No Double Aheads or Double Rights are permitted at VH altitude.
Maneuver is always before altitude in case of plotting error involving a legal move but illegal altitude adjustment.
In the event of an uncaught plotting error by the pilot's mod, the default move is a Single Ahead.
Deviation from the standard critical hit chart:  #1 will be a spin rather than a severed fuel line.
No Jamming rules will be used.
No pistol shot rules will be used.
Only aircraft officially rated in the Aerodrome 1.1 rules will be used.  This means no Buzzards.
Critical hit die rolls will be performed at the prompting and in view of the table moderator.
No personal dice are permitted.  Dice will be supplied.
Touching the panel at ANY time for ANY reason when not prompted by a mod will result in a spin.
Panels must be CLEARLY visible to the moderators.  No hunching over panels permitted.
No disengagements unless out of ammo or receiving a critical hit other than #9 pilot distracted. (I.E. it must be an ACTIVE critical hit.)
Plots taking a pilot off map from an illegal disengagement point or when not qualifying for a legal disengagement, will result in a spin.
No obscenity permitted. Will result in loss of 2 ammo or if out of ammo, 2 damage per infraction.
No landing of aircraft permitted on the map.
New pilots are welcome.  There will be an "indoctrination" session before the tournament.
All participants are expected to obey all rules and policies of the host site, Wexford Hill Hobbies.
Wexford Hill Hobbies reserves the right to remove any participant from their property for just cause.

Any interpretations and disputes will be quickly resolved by the Tournament Director, who has complete authority.
